One address, read by a person. There is no contact form on this page and no chat widget: both collect data we would then have to look after, and neither gets you an answer faster than an email does.

If you are a company with a problem

The useful first message describes one specific thing that takes too long today, rather than a strategy or a shortlist of technologies. Three lines is enough. What the task is, roughly how many people spend how long on it, and what happens when it goes wrong.

A first conversation is thirty minutes and is not a sales call. Its purpose is to work out whether what you have is a deployment problem, an organisational one, or one that should not be solved with software. All three answers get given, and the second and third are more common than you would expect.

If you want to reason about the numbers before writing, the automation ROI calculator will tell you in five inputs whether a project is worth having the conversation about at all.

If you are thinking about the role

Questions about the job are welcome and get answered. We do not place candidates, take no fee from anyone hiring, and have nothing to sell you, which means the answer you get is the one we actually believe.

If your experience of the role differs from what is written here, we would particularly like to hear it. This is a job whose shape is still settling, and the pages on this site are written from a particular vantage point rather than from a survey.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, say so, with a source if you have one. Corrections are acted on quickly and the corrected page carries a note saying what changed and when, as described in the editorial policy.

If you have embedded the ROI calculator somewhere, we would like to know where. It is the only way we find out whether it is useful outside our own pages.
